From Our Community: Deadline to Apply for New York Fashion Tech Lab

The deadline to apply for New York Fashion Tech Lab's 2021 program is Sunday, Jan. 31. The NYFTL program takes place March-June. Through a competitive process where the Fashion and Retail Partners, Advisors, Springboard Enterprises, and the Lab team members review every submission, six to 10 women-led companies are selected to enter the program. The criteria for inclusion is that the company is women-led, business-to-business, early to growth stage, and in the fashion/tech space.

Annual Report 2020: National Women’s Business Council

The National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) was established in 1988 by H.R. 5050, the Women’s Business Ownership Act. The legislation also eliminated remaining state laws requiring a woman to have a male relative or husband co-sign a business loan; established the Women’s Business Center Program through the Office of Women’s Business Ownership at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA); and required the U.S. Census Bureau to include women-owned C corporations when reporting data.
