Whew, that went fast! I can’t believe Women in Retail Leadership Days, our month-long celebration of women in retail, is coming to a close! However, before we officially wrap up the event, we have a few more excellent sessions planned. For example:
- Today at 5 p.m. ET, we will be hosting a super fun, live, online trivia experience! We’ll have a game show host, four rounds of trivia (multiple choice and open-ended questions), and a leaderboard. The top three winners will be crowned at the end!
- On Thursday (Oct. 29) at 2 p.m. ET, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from Brit Barron, author of the book “Worth It: Overcome Your Fears and Embrace the Life You Were Made For.” In this keynote session, Brit will discuss the personal stories featured in her book, and along the way inspire us to overcome our own fears — the kinds of fears that keep us from evolving beyond the narratives that have been handed to us by others.
In case you missed anything from Leadership Days throughout the month, most panels, sessions and activations are available on-demand through Dec. 1! Be sure to catch our fabulous keynotes (Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Mindy Grossman, Kat Cole — just to name a few!), panels (diversity and inclusion strategies, sustainability challenges and solutions, etc.), and all the health and wellness activations (self-defense, yoga, mindfulness, high-intensity cardio, etc.).
Lastly, we’re already in the midst of planning our next Women in Retail Leadership Days, which will be taking place in March 2021. As we build out the program for the virtual event, we’d love to hear your suggestions for any speaker recommendations, activation ideas, session topics, etc. Please send any and all ideas to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope you enjoy the rest of the show!
P.S: I wanted to let you know that a great friend of our group, Delivering Good, which provides retailers and manufacturers with a simple way to help millions of families in need through donations of new merchandise, has launched an online auction as part of its Annual Gala fundraising efforts. The auction features one-of-a-kind, custom-made jeans and exclusives donated by artists as well as fashion and accessories designers, including artist Amarah Syke (alongside her great-grandmother, Whoopi Goldberg), American Eagle Outfitters, Rebecca Minkoff, Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia, and Zac Posen. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will provide funding to bring products to those Delivering Good serves. Make sure to check it out here!
